Can You Eat Your Way Into Loosing Weight?

Everyone knows that there is no such thing as sitting on the couch, eating so-called “fat burning foods”, taking dietary supplements and expecting to fit into a size 0 - after only a few weeks - by merely doing this. There are, however, some simple food choices you can make and lifestyle changes you can bring into your life to promote a higher metabolism and to prevent stocking-up on too many calories.

Fat burning foods are typically foods that burn more calories then the calorie content of the food itself. Other then fat burning foods, you can also opt for ingredients that can raise your metabolism, foods that prevent the storage of fat, meals that will make you feel full longer ... Or, ... you can take appetite-repressing supplements.

Why do people want to boost their metabolism? So they can eat more?

Makes no sense at all.

Each individual has a daily caloric requirement. To suggest that certain foods will allow them to burn more calories means nothing... only that they are desiring to eat more calories.

Makes no sense.

What are you going to do if your metabolism were tripled or quadrupled? Would that be a good thing?

Not what you want to hear I'm sure.

But people looking for real answers to weight loss need only look at the amount of calories they consume for their own body composition vs the nutrients in the calories they consume.

Hi,

Thanks for your comment. in principle, I believe you are right ... However, being overweight does not just depend on calorie consumption all the time ... I am intending on writing some usefull articles on recent studies (yes, bearing into account that some of them are being paid by the industry, so .... results most likely in some cases can be tricked ...)

As to this article ... not everyone has a good, fired-up metabolism ... I will not go into people that are ill and really have problems like with their Thyroid gland ... but just ordinary people that let's face it, mostly do not excercise (move) enough, consume too much alcohol and cafeïne or have unhealthy eating habits (not eating regularly, eating not enough of the right stuff such as vegetables, fruits and good carbohydrates ... Those people of course in the first place should DO SOMETHING ABOUT THEIR HABTIS, the foods I suggest in my article can help to jump-start the process ...

Then there are also people who we can call "metabolically blessed" - with wich I mean, they just consume less energy with the same amount of calories ... they just NEED LESS and therefor can do without less food ...

In no ways I want to encite people to tripple their metabolism ... doing sports, trippling (or even doubling your metabolism), with the sole purpose of eating more is (as you say) ridiculous ...

This article is intended for those who want to adopt a healthier life style and give the process an initial little boost... I do agree I should have given more information in my article and I should have been more clear and cautious ...

Thanks again for this constructive message ...
